Power raking and areating are big contributors that can improve the health of your lawn. Both are different services, so you can decide which or if both are right for you.

Power raking pulls up the dead and nutrient depleted grass to allow sunlight, nutrients, water and air to reach the soil and roots. It also frees up more room for new grass to grow. A thick layer of thatch acts as a perfect moisture trapping, slow decomposing breading ground for fungus’s and harmful bacteria to grow which will hinder the health and growth of your lawn.

Aerating punctures the ground to take small pugs out of the soil from your lawn to allow water, air and nutrients to get deep into the roots of the grass and frees up room for the grass roots to establish stronger and bigger which helps the grass become lush and green.

After you have your lawn power raked, you'll want to feed it with a high quality nitrogen based fertilizer. This will jumpstart the greening up/ growing process and will strengthen the roots. We use a pellet fertilizer made right here in western Montana. You can fertilize multiple times a year, but the spring time will give you the most benefit.
